SNC Mega Fiesta-2024 held on February 28, 2024, in the college precincts was characterized by a spirit of revelry, fun and frolic, being relished by the students and the staff to the core. During the inaugural ceremony, S. Daljit Singh Khakh, DSP, Banga, was the Chief Guest. The other distinguished guests present on the occasion included – Surinder Singh Kandola, Gurjeet Singh Kandola, Harminder Singh Atwal, Parminder Singh, Gurinderjit Singh, Dr. Sohan Singh, Prof. Pargan Singh and S. Jarnail Singh, Secretary LMC. Whereas renowned Lyricist Shamsher Sandhu alongwith diasporic writer S. Ashok Bhaura and Jasvir Gunachauria, graced the closing ceremony.
Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh and the staff felicitated guests. The event was marked by variety of fun games, music, dance and lucky draw. Numerous stalls were put up by the students of different departments and the fest concluded with bestowment of prizes on the winners of the lucky draw


The College Football Team emerged victorious in GNDU Intercollege Football Championship, 2023-24, held from November 19-28, 2023. The college achieved this feat after the gap of 11 Years. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh congratulated the entire team on this thumping success, calling upon it to keep up the excellent efforts in future as well.


On September 27, 2023, Convocation 2023 is solemnized in the campus. Sh Manish Tewari, MP, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Col(Retd.) JS Bala, Secretary SES, S Jaspal Singh Randhawa, member, EC and Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh conferred 430 graduates with degrees.


An endeavour to reunite the illustrious alumni and magnify the bonding with the institute, a meeting of the alumni of the college, who have carved out a special niche in their cherished spheres, was organized on March 5, 2202. Dr. Nachhatar Paul MLA, Nawanshahr, and S. Paramjit Singh, Excise Commissioner, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour respectively. The meeting was marked by fruitful interactions and deliberations on how to take the college forward towards further heights of excellence.


With a great spirit of fun and frolic, the Annual Athletic Meet of the college was conducted on February 21, 2023, commencing with ceremonial march past of the NCC unit and the various houses of the college and the collegiate school. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh declared the games open. NRI Surjeet Singh Rakkar and S Jagtar Singh from Canada graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. Medals were conferred on victorious students.


It is a matter of pride that Ankita, student of MA English, sem. i, has been nominated to the Senate of GNDU by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab till June 30, 2024. S Gurdev Singh Brar IAS(Retd.), President, SES, Col. JS Bala (Retd.), Secretary, SES, S Rajbinder Singh Bains, Secretary LMC, S Jarnail Singh, Joint Secretary LMC, congratulated Ankita for the attainment. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh conveyed his good wishes to Ankita and expressed hope that she would contribute to the betterment of the university as a member of the prestigious Senate. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Head, Department, English and S Ravinderjit Singh, Office Superintendent, joined the Principal in felicitation of the student.


Prof. Darshan Singh, who served the Department of Physics in the college for a long time, donated Rs one lakh for the cause of needy students. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh and S Jarnail Singh, Joint Secretary LMC, acknowledged the selfless contribution of Prof. Darshan Singh, and felicitated him along with his better half Prof. Jaswant Kaur.


Dr. Ikbal Kaur, the reputed international athelete, who graced as Chief Guest the celebrations of Punjabi week in the college, donated Rs ten lakh to the institute and also announced annual scholarship for two lakh to the poor and needy students. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh felicitated Dr. Kaur and S Jasmeen Singh Garewal, first Commandant, Merchant Navy, on the occasion.
