As part of his drive to hold a host meetings all over Punjab to provide thrust to immensely popular folk dance of Punjab, Bhangra, the noted Punjabi singer Paramjit Singh Sidhu alias Pammi Bhai convened a meet of coaches and artists in Sikh National College, Banga. The singer, on his arrival in the campus, was accorded a warm reception. Principal Dr. Kulwant Singh Randhawa lauded the efforts of the singer towards seeking to take Bhangra to new heights of glory and assured him that the Punjabi fraternity stood firmly behind him for this noble cause. Speaking on the occasion, the singer voiced the urgency of setting up of an Association dedicated to the rise and disseminaton of Bhangra and also opined that the said Association could be instrumental in propping up the falling standards of this form of folk dance. The moment was adorned also by the presence of Pritpal Singh Nangal and Professor Rajbir Singh.
